THE PHINISI LIVEABORD

A great Thailand and Burma Liveaboard since 2018. The Phinisi (also called Cheng I Sao) is an Indonesia Phinisi style sailing boat, built in 2007. The Phinisi has been operating in Indonesia, the Maldives and Thailand, and now has a full schedule for Thailand and Myanmar. Started in November 2019 the Phinisi is running incredible 10 night 'Best Of Thailand' cruises along with some 7 and 10 night Myanmar cruises. Plus Similan and Surin cruises as well as South Andaman trips. A maximum of 18 guests are accommodated in 7 very nice cabins - 3 flexible double/twin, 2 twin and 2 quad cabins, all cabins with air-con and bathrooms.

The Phinisi is a custom-designed sailing vessel with structures built carefully with scuba divers in mind. Divers designed the 37m Phinisi’s 7 cabins for divers and can cater to 18 guests at a time. All cabins are air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms with hot water, towels, and storage space. There are sundeck lounges and indoor and outdoor dining areas serving buffet-style food with provisions for vegetarian food and other dietary options. Guests can access the library for reference books to identify the fish just seen on dives or catch a quick fiction story to relax; movies or games are also available.

A large shaded dive deck, personal set-up area, storage area, rebreather support, nitrox refills, and dive equipment is available to rent. There is also a diving tender. Dive sites visited include Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, and Richelieu Rock, and in Southern Thailand: Koh Phi Phi, King Cruiser, plus two top dive sites in Thailand: Hin Muang and Hin Daeng. The yacht also visits the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar between December and April. Famous dive sites include Black Rock, High Rock, Tower Rock, and Torres Island.

Lowson 2024/2025 6,7,8,9,10 popular southern island tours to Hin Daeng, Hin Muang and Phi Phi.

As well as some 7 and 10 night trips to Myanmar.

NORTH ANDAMAN ITINERARY

The Phinisi Liveabord runs trips for 6 nights and 4 nights to the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock through the season from October to May. The 6 night trips normally also include some dives in the Surin Islands.

Some trips depart from Patong and pick up in Khao Lak is not available.

Note : This is an approximate itinerary. The 6 night trips include 19 dives at the Similan Islands, Surin Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock. Exact dive times will vary from day to day. There will be time for a couple of beach visits during the trip. Some trips depart from Thap Lamu and return to Patong, some depart from Patong and return to Thap Lamu. SOUTH ANDAMAN ITINERARY

Join The Phinisi on a 4 or 5 night Southern Thailand liveaboard scuba diving itinerary exploring the highlights of the South Andaman Sea. The 4 night itinerary includes Hin Daeng, Hin Muang and Koh Haa while the 5 night itinerary also visits the Racha Islands and a variety of dive sites around Koh Phi Phi. The Phinisi's schedules also allow the possibility of combining a 4 night Southern Thailand itinerary with a 6 night Similan and Surin Islands trip to create a 10 night 'Best of Thailand' itinerary.

Following is an example of the itinerary schedule. Please note that some locations may be changed if weather or sea conditions hinder the vessel's ability to reach them safely, and in good time.

ITINERARY 5D/4N 14 Dive

Day 1: Embarkation at 19:00 followed by briefings and dinner

Day 2: 4 dives - Koh Haa, Hin Daeng, Hin Muang

Day 3: 4 dives - Hin Daeng, Hin Muang, Koh Haa

Day 4: 4 dives - Phi Phi Islands

Day 5: 2 dives - King Cruiser OR Shark Point, Koh Doc Mai; Disembarkation 14:00

The full diving days are typically scheduled as follows:

- Light Breakfast followed by a briefing and dive 1

- Full Breakfast, relaxation period, briefing and dive 2

- Lunch, relaxation period, briefing and dive 3

- Snack relaxation period, briefing and dive 4

- Dinner

Return shared transfers between the local airport and the liveaboard on embarkation and disembarkation days(included transfers are at set times; transfers outside the set times will incur an extra cost)

시밀란 리브어보드 경우 일반 모던스타일이 있지만 정크 스타일경우는 일반적으로 인도네시아 쪽에서 설계되어서 만들어졌답니다. 사실 일반적으로 스쿠버다이빙 입. 출수 시 불편함이 있지만 나름대로 선내 설비등은 여유롭게 쓸 수 있는 장단점이 있답니다. 하지만 그렇게 걱정하시지 않으셔도 된답니다. 왜냐하면 보트 직원들이 입출수 크게 불편 없이 도움을 준답니다.

저 역시 2번 정도 정크 스타일 리브어보드 사용해 봤지만 크게 불편함은 느끼지 못했습니다.

사실 고무보트에 출수하실 경우 불편함이 있지만 저 같은 경우는 수면에서 장비 탈착을 하고 맨몸으로 출수하다 보니

오히려 더 편하게 다이빙을 했습니다.
